Ovidiu Toader is interested in exploring individual and collective memory, using various forms of recollection of personal and historical experiences. To realise the monumental sculpture, Toader inflated and shaped steel into one pillar of his grandmother’s picket fence, an echo of our shared past and traditions. The Om emerges as a symbol of unity.
