The desire to procreate is polysemic, brimming with possibilities, yet laden with pressures and oppressions faced by women at a specific age. Parto explicitly articulates the process of expelling and shedding the burden of societal ideology to pave the way for alternative horizons. A narrowing corridor serves as a symbolic representation of three stages experienced by a single woman or all women—marked by sexual desire, the yearning for motherhood, and the pursuit of freedom. On the other side lies a rebirth.
