ZUVA 2022

ZUVA is inspired and influenced by African traditions of healing and architecture, it is an internal and external experience of light, sound, color, and moments of reflection. Solar-powered lights illuminate the interior space allowing for respite from the sun and meditation and music, while the exterior seating faces west as to pay homage to the African sunset and its multitude of colors. In Shona, Zuva means “the movement of the sun across the sky throughout the day.” Developed in collaboration with CTG Collective, Dzimbanhete Arts Interactions, and Goethe Institut Harare.
