Joe Brittain
Walking Drawings

Brittain made the Walking Drawings while traveling the summer of 2016 through the deserts of the south west; camping, rock climbing and writing. They were later refined in the studio.

The colors come from rust and Ultramarine pure pigment. Ultramarine translates to “across the sea,” and further accentuates the sense of distance and travel.
