Justin Orvis Steimer
gatekeepers of the north

Finding himself on a tiny island for two weeks with the CTG Collective in August 2016, Steimer was excited to work outdoors and experiment with a surface he had not yet encountered in his work: stone.

Naturally, and without initial discussion between them, each artist produced one protector to be permanently installed on the tiny Pool’s island.

Steimer’s guardians are the gatekeepers of the North.
