Justin Orvis Steimer
Terra Nova

Arriving in Newfoundland, Canada, Steimer was fascinated by the diversity of objects connected to the ocean: buoys and drift wood served as canvases for his works, in addition to stones and a mammoth pair of moose antlers gifted by a neighbor… the Newfies love to gift things. They are very kind and on many occasions Steimer and the CTG Collective enjoyed invitations to meals, or freshly caught fish, or chances at hot showers from the locals they encountered.
