Asomatos means “without body” in Greek. This group of paintings sees Stoicheff’s imagery becoming disembodied and the coming to fruition of her image investigations. She returns to her roots in abstraction and experimental processes but brings the small image into the picture, recalling a tacked up postcard or a computer icon.
