Terrence Musekiwa
The Builder, 2017

Musekiwa addressed the building of Catinca Tabacaru’s Harare space, coined CTG Harare and realized in collaboration with Dzimbanhete Arts & Culture Interactions. The Builder_ is not as literal as it may sound. The work oscillates between a conversation with the physical and the divine.

“He’s a spiritual builder,” comments Musekiwa whose figure stands in emotive dialogue with Steimer’s floating totem; a hand reaches out, somewhere between giving, taking and expressing.
