Terrence Musekiwa
Sweeping under the carpet, 2019

While in Finland at the Serlachius Museums artist residency with the CTG Collective, the country’s movement towards the right on the issue of immigration was a central focus of the collective’s research and discussions. In the darkly playful voice of mimicry often seen in Musekiwa’s works in recent years, the artist looks at how governments cover up their dark actions using force and fear, pushing people to migrate and become immigrants in other countries.
