Needing to Know How Things Feel is an ongoing collection of charging outdated phones with broken screens, playing looping video works made up of compilations of short clips from the artist’s expanding archive of footage of her own hands filmed in close range touching and engaging with an array of materials and environments. Bothwell Fels started making the films in 2016 and continues to pull from old footage while continuously adding new clips.
