Space Intended for Rest and Pleasure forms a spatial extension of Monosov’s film Melodica, pouring the “feel” of the film into the exhibition space. The film’s images are brought to life in choreographed moments, bringing the film’s performative aspects for the audience’s to experience. The piece is an attempt to “perform” the ordinary and to embody the “non-exciting”.
